FAQs

  • We offer washers in a variety of sizes, from 18 lbs. (equivalent to 2 loads) up to our largest 135 lbs. machines (13.5 loads). For best results, we recommend filling the washer no more than ¾ full to allow proper agitation during the wash cycle.

Helpful Tip: Our high-efficiency washers automatically adjust the water level based on the weight of your laundry. If you're washing bulky items like blankets or heavily soiled clothing, we recommend using the Deep Wash setting.

  • 9pm - offering enough time for our customers to wash and dry before our doors close at 10pm.

  • Electrolux washers were designed with the planet and your garment preservation in mind. As such, our washers offer a unique approach by calculating the actual weight of the load - prior to starting the wash, then adding just the right amount of water based on weigh-in. Due to its high efficiency, less soap is required. Depending on which washer is selected - each is labeled with the optimal soap amount. You’re welcome to add more if heavily soiled.

Under circumstances where more water is needed or if you prefer a higher water level, we recommend opting for our Deep Wash setting.

  • We offer multiple payments options via credit card, tap to pay, or coin. There is no pre-authorization hold or fee for our card option - meaning you pay only what’s priced on the machine or drying time selected.

Helpful Tip: Load clothing, add soap, and ensure you have required amount on hand (coin) prior to making payment. Start washer as soon as payment is made to avoid credit timeout.

  • Depending on the selected payment method for the dryer, a minimum charge of $2.00 is required when using a credit or debit card. If paying with coin, the dryer operates on a per-coin basis.

Average drying times may vary depending on the type of garment and the selected temperature setting. For reference:

    • Blankets: 16 minutes on Low

    • Jeans/Towels: 28 minutes on Medium

    • Mixed Load: Approximately 32 minutes on Medium

  • Lost and found items are dated and held for two weeks.

To reduce waste and support our community, unclaimed items will be either donated or placed in our free bin for others to give a new home to or repurpose after the two week timeframe.

  • Simple. Place your laundry outside your door in bags (to prevent fallout) on pickup day. We’ll give you a heads up when we’re on our way. Your laundry will be returned in a new set.

Prefer a reusable method? We offer easy to clean zipper bags for $6.

  • To ensure laundry operations run smoothly, we request you withhold your products. All washes include complimentary unscented detergent. If you prefer scent, we’re happy to discuss other options.

  • We’re always happy to help! Please notify us within 24 hours of order completion date with any concerns you may have.

    Terms and Conditions

At Clean Theory, our goal is to provide the highest level of care in handling your laundry. We use eco-friendly, skin-friendly methods, and tailor wash and dry settings – such as cold and delicate and/or low dryer heat when appropriate - unless otherwise specified by you, our customer.

As is the inherent nature of the laundry process, some stains may not be removable, and there may be rare instances of lost or damaged items, despite our thorough efforts in sorting, washing, and drying.

Though we take all necessary precautions to properly handle and clean your clothes, we cannot be held responsible for:

    • Lost items

    • Color fading or bleeding

    • Shrinkage

    • Damage to fragile or weakened fabrics

    • Damage caused by personal belongings or the item itself left in pockets such as pens, pocket knifes, keys, etc.

    • Pre-existing defects or material weaknesses that were not apparent or disclosed before processing.

    Special Items

We realize some items may need individualized TLC. To ensure these special garments are treated properly, we kindly request you let us know about any specific conditions, manufacturer care instructions, or special laundering before service. Please note, we do not handle “dry clean only” or “hand wash only” items - If left within laundry, they will be washed and dried per our default settings.

This applies especially—but not exclusively—to delicate materials such as suede, leather, silk, satin, double-face fabrics, vinyl, and polyurethane. Responsibility is also disclaimed for decorative elements like trimmings, buckles, beads, buttons, bells, and sequins.

    Stain Removal

During order placement, customers will be asked if they would like to include stain removal as part of the service. Stain treatment may be added for an additional $2 a piece.

Under circumstances where a clothing item is heavily stained, we may contact the customer to confirm if they would like the stain treated at our treatment rate.

    Refund Policy

While our team makes every effort to prevent loss or damage, in rare cases, mistakes may occur. Our liability for loss or damage is limited to 5 times the cost of the wash and fold service for the total weight of the order, with a maximum liability of $125 per order.

In cases of loss disputes, Clean Theory will weigh the returned laundry to confirm the reported weight of the order.

Clean Theory reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time.
